Sure, you can go to Wally World and buy a Mongoose mountain bike and it may do you for a while to see if you are going to like hitting the trails. However, to be honest, those bikes are just what they are Wally World bikes. The name Mongoose doesn’t mean a blooming thing! Bike shops do sell Mongoose bikes, but they are outfitted with better quality components and they will last through the punishment that mountain biking is. A Wally World bike will not. If you plan to do some real hill climbing, and downhill scorching action, get a bike that will take the abuse.
